081203 Rocky & Kit

Rocky & Kit are a couple from Tuguegarao... Its kinda odd, i've been getting a lot of inquiries from that place. Then i discovered that most of them prefer to get married here in Manila or some other destination.

I was able to go to Tuguegarao a month prior to shoot their wedding (which unfortunately i have not sorted) and it is a nice place. Tho we wanted to stay longer my schedule would not permit it..

Anyway, i am posting my 8 favorite pictures here. I love the make-up by Madge and i loved the gown of Veluz -- chcek out the train!!!

Wedding was in San Antonio (2ish) and followed by the reception at Blue Leaf where all the pre-reception portrait pictorial was done.

Make-up Challenge

Last Dec 1, we had a very game couple who was game with just about anything. When all the guest have left, we asked them if they were willing to jump into the swimming pool. When they said yes, I knew this was a great chance to test to see how well airbrush make-up will hold for weddings. In #1 you can see that the couple jumping into the pool. Couple was completely submerged!

Picture #2 is a big no-no for make-up. Every make up artist will tell you when you cry or when you perspire (in short when makeup is wet) you never rub make-up or it will smear. Here she is rubbing her make-up against something worse - Mark's wet barong.

After seeing that the make up was still ok, they agreed take another dive, this time backwards (picture #3) If you zoom into picture #4, you can see that her face is dripping wet. However, you will still see, hair, foundation and blush is still pretty much intact.

In fact, it was so intact without anyone touching them or giving them towels, Jong was able to continue on with pictorials.

picture #6 shows that even without retouch (after being towel dried) make-up is still ok.

PS All shots by John Mateos Ong without photoshop and Mark had make-up too.

Here is our new company shirt... no, were not changing our logo, it is still the purple circle (which represents the lens) and the off centered yellow "i".

I am just so happy with the design of our shirt made by our very own photographer/interior designer Hyds and Architect Derrick Lim.  Truly God inspired...  they were able to come up with it in around 4 days time during the peak season of December.  Provvista was able to print it in (take note of this) one day! Yes, an 8 colored shirt thats back to back in 1 day.  We were able to distribute it during our Christmas party last dec 17.

Janus & Andrea's Wedding

I remember the day i met Janus & Andrea in Diamond Hotel, we immediately clicked, they booked and right after that i took them to Cecilio Abad for some initial gown design. They loved it and they booked immediately. I present to them Madge's works and they booked her immediately too.

Since we were there in Diamond hotel, i did an ocular of their room and boy did it excite me. It was my first time to go inside the Presidential room and we got both 25th & 26th floor pres rooms. Whoa!!! i didn't think i'd ever go back to this place again so i decided to make the most of it...

Andrea is a fellow Christian too and even if her pastor was late, we didn't get alarmed. Even if the sun was setting down on us already, it didn't bother us. It was ok...

Make up by Aaron Lejarde of the Make-up Studio, Coordination by Christine Ong-Te, Flowers by Teddy Manuel, Gown by Cecilio Abad.
